U Street Blue

In the year 2003, I basically had one thing on my mind: my graduate thesis film. Part dedication to DC, part year of insanity. I've never worked harder on anything in my life. I lost ten pounds during the seven days of production. The Washington Post even came out to visit us on set one day.

And for all that, I got my first taste of the festival circuit, my first awards, and my first hard look at what it takes to do this for a living. Even if it's just a student film to me now, there's a part of U Street Blue in everything I do.
