Oranges

I wrote about shooting this little jammy over at the company blog. What I didn't say there was that somehow in producing this video, we ended up in a dispute with the record label. Basically, the label felt that the video wasn't grimy enough, and ended up hiring another director. Here's a snippet from the treatment I wrote to win the job: “the object here is simple: film as many different people in as many locations from as many walks of life as is possible within the limitations of the budget. ... Holding an orange on camera.” Um, like I said.

Of course, all of that bitterness is offset by the delightful images on the screen. Sweet. Oranges.
